7th and 8th grade students are typically ready to dive deeper into their faith so they can better understand this faith into which they've been baptized. Shalom offers gathering on Wednesday night, starting with a simple meal. Each family signs up to provide food once (or twice, depending on size of the class) so we can begin and end at an earlier time.

9th grade students complete their confirmation experience after doing 3 sessions to provoke their thoughts on their relationship with God (as Creator, Redeemer, Comforter) and write a faith statement, followed by a discussion with Pastor. The Affirmation of Baptism (Rite of Confirmation) occurs on Reformation Sunday in October.
